Breast Cancer Awareness: October is the Month!

In our attempt to continue to think pink as the month of October gets underway, PrintMyThing.com would like to introduce a couple more products to help raise awareness of breast cancer. We’re committed to doing what we can to help find a cure.

Customer Spotlight: FAWN Jewelry

The month of October is nationally recognized in the U.S. as “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”  From time to time we like to introduce customers of ours that have creative or unique products that have utilized our custom printed products in a great way. This month we’re proud to introduce to you, FAWN Jewelry. FAWN Jewelry has created a unique Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon pendant that we think is pretty incredible. They also designed a custom printed ribbon from PrintMyRibbon.com to package their one-of-a-kind pendants.

FAWN Jewelry: “Survivor Sisters® Pendant”

FAWN Jewelery, LLC is a brand new business that just started this year. Owner and “Survivor Sisters® Pendant” designer Frances Hackett is a 7 year breast cancer survivor. When a good friend of hers was also diagnosed with breast cancer, Frances designed a support pendant that both of them could wear in support of each other. The pendant can be made in sterling silver, gold, cubic zirconia, and diamonds.

“When the two pendants come together it completes the full breast cancer ribbon. The ribbon when you see the double pendant is the two halves” says Ms. Hackett.

Some of the proceeds will be donated in support of raising awareness of breast cancer, encapsulating the spirit of “finding a cure.”

Frances needed a ribbon that would finish off the packaging of her unique jewelry. Having found PrintMyRibbon.com, she worked with Erica & Barbara in going through the online design process to create a pink “Survivor Sisters®” ribbon. Frances said:

The Top 10 Ink Label Template Designs

We’re about three quarters of the way through 2011 and we stopped to take a look at what the top 10 pre-designed ink label templates were that our customers liked.  That way, we could share some great design ideas with you the blog readers for ways to image your products or services. These pre-designed templates are a great tool to use to get your creative juices flowing when designing a custom label for your business, product or service.

The labels in this post are all ink printed (also known as flexo.)

#10 – Pink Flower Collection

Our 10th place finisher (but certainly not the least important design) is the modern and trendy Pink Flower Collection.  Graphic Designer Dale Smith did a superb job of creating a design that says “less is more.” The Pink Flower Collection includes  ovals, circles, rectangle and square labels of various sizes to meet your application needs.

 

 

 

 

 

#9 – Victorian Scrolls Collection

A classic looking template, the Victorian Collection has been popular for a wide variety of applications. Material colors include: white, kraft, ivory, bright silver foil, bright gold foil and more. A wide variety of flourishes are available if you’d like to tweak this design as well.

 

 

 

 

#8 – Enrich Collection

Coming in at the #8 spot for most popular Ink Label Template is the Enrich Collection. Breast Cancer Awareness Month

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month starts October 1st, and educates women about the importance of early detection. More and more women are detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages. As a result, breast cancer deaths are on the decline. Many have either had personal experience with breast cancer, or know someone that has. To help continue raising awareness of the fight against breast cancer, PrintMyRibbon is offering Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons in several different designs. You can also design your own pink ribbons online.

According to Cancer.org, there were 230,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer in 2011. There have been 39,520 deaths from breast cancer. The Story Behind Our 9/11 Awareness Ribbons

It began with an order from a well-known chain of home improvement stores. Custom 9/11 awareness ribbons were requested so that they could be passed out to employees for the tenth anniversary of September 11th. We loved the idea so much that it became the inspiration we needed to create an entire line of September 11th awareness ribbons, stickers, and magnets for printmyribbon.com. What a great response we’ve had, with orders coming in from all over the United States! It has been wonderful to see that even after 10 years, the unity that we felt following the morning of the 9/11 attacks is still strong. And even though the date has passed to order 9/11 awareness ribbons and still receive them in time for the tenth anniversary, we are happy to announce that this product will remain on the site permanently because it’s never too late to show that you have “not forgotten”.
