We Americans (of the United States variety) seem to love using the refrigerator as the house bulletin board. Why this is, I can only guess it’s because of our country’s food obsession (but that’s another topic). Everyone knows that the folks in real estate have mastered this consumer level marketing I’m going to call “fridge marketing”. My own fridge is a collection of friends photos, calendars and other notes all being held up by a magnet of some kind. I’m sure people would never buy magnets for this purpose if they were to receive enough of them for free. I am here to say that this form of advertising isn’t just for selling houses, seriously, how many houses did you buy last year compared to the number of pizzas, or shoes or t-shirts?…you get the drift.
Enter the Business Card Magnet. Think about it…you’re a photographer, pick some of your best photos, type your name, email, website across it and get 100 of these things for $.65/each (sale price $.45/each). Hand them out at events or package them with your prints, anywhere a current, past or future customer will see it. It doesn’t matter what your business, if you sell to end-use consumers chances are, they’d like a magnet to hold that photo of their newest nephew, and when they need a tree trimmed, or a new TV chances are they’re going to remember you because of that magnet.
While you’re at it, you might as well get some regular business cards printed up with the same photos or design instead of the same old white paper with your logo and contact info cards that everybody else has.
