This past weekend I packed a suitcase, smashed myself into those tiny airplane seats with my wife and 5 month old, and went off to beautiful Southern California (Ventura/Santa Barbara area) for a friend’s wedding. First of all, yes the little one did exceptionally on the plane ride (whew!), and secondly, we found ourselves on the southern edge of wine country. The wedding itself took place at the home of the bride’s uncle & aunt, which happens to be on the side of a hill overlooking the valley below all the way to the ocean. The view from my seat was spectacular! As I return to my “real world” I find the urge to find some great wines, have some friends over and enjoy an evening tasting.
